MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
THE 6TH ANNUAL VANCOUVER MINI MAKER FAIRE WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE PNE FORUM JUNE 11TH AND 12TH, 2016.
2015 saw us celebrating our 5th Vancouver Mini Maker Faire.
Each year the number of exhibitors and presenters increases, and the 2015 Makers List included some wonderful new Makers joining us, along with many returning Makers bringing new projects.
Our Presentation Series spanned topics as diverse as 3D Printing, using Minecraft in education, copyright law, and the making of the “Star Wars Epic Yarns” series of books.
The 2015 Workshop Series offered attendees of all ages the opportunity to learn, among other things, the secrets of illuminated letters, how to make a mold for resin casting, and how to create natural dyes from local plants.
We’re hard at work planning the 2016 event! If you’d like to be a 2016 VMMF Maker, please sign up here to receive an email notification when our exhibitor applications open on February 1st. If you’d like to volunteer at the show, please fill in this very short form.
What makes a Maker? The Maker movement encompasses a diverse range of disciplines, and welcomes Makers from all walks of life! Makers are tech enthusiasts, metal artists, homesteaders, painters, potters, 3D printing enthusiasts, knitters, roboticists, -anyone embracing the Do-It-Yourself (or Do-It-Together!) ethos. The maker community is expanding, diverse, and inclusive.
Etsy Made in Canada 2016 will be back with a new venue that’s bigger and better for your Etsy shopping needs.
Pipe Shop at Shipyards Plaza.
September 24th to 25th, 2016.
Etsy Made in Canada 2016 will be an indoor market spanning across two days (both Saturday AND Sunday), allowing you to select a shopping day that’s most convenient for you!
More days to shop means more opportunities to find all of your favourite Etsy goodies from our many vendors. We’ve also been fortunate enough these past two years to have the beautiful sunshine present on the day of the market, however knowing that “Raincouver” may be unpredictable, having an indoor market guarantees that Mother Nature cannot ruin the Etsy fun!
